128 new homes for Loftus
Beyond Housing has entered into a £15 m contract with Esh Construction to deliver 128 new homes at Hummersea Hills, Loftus. This will complete the final phase of this development, seeing an overall investment of over £43m in Loftus. Homes England is supporting the scheme with funding of around £5m.
43 of the homes, including 9 apartments, 10 houses and 24 bungalows, will be provided with care and support services from a support hub within the development. This element of the development is part of the successful ‘Redcare’ partnership between Beyond Housing and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council which provides bespoke homes with care and support for older and vulnerable people across Redcar and Cleveland.
The remaining 85 homes comprise of two, three and four bedroom houses, which will be available for affordable rent or on a rent to buy basis, which enables customers to initially rent and purchase later.
Beyond Housing is supporting a range of community projects in Loftus, which will continue alongside the development of new homes ensuring the maximum benefit is realised for the Loftus community.
Clare Harrigan, Head of Development & Regeneration at Beyond Housing said: “We are delighted to be working with Esh Construction to deliver this strategically important development. This phase will provide a range of much needed affordable new homes offering care and support and a choice of tenures.”
