We have recruited 14 apprentices to take up apprenticeships across the organisation in Redcar & Cleveland and Scarborough.

Our apprenticeship programme provides paid, structured training leading to professional qualifications. We encourage applications from Beyond Housing residents and customers of our employability services, with a commitment to allocate at least half of the roles to these groups. Apprenticeships typically run for two years, with one day per week at college and the remainder spent gaining on-the-job experience.

In Redcar & Cleveland, the 2025 cohort includes Business Administrator apprentices working across Asset & Sustainability, Customer Service & ICT, and Property Services, alongside a Data Technician Apprentice, Data Analyst Apprentices embedded in Customer Service & ICT and Asset & Sustainability, a Digital Support Technician Apprentice, an Apprentice Housing & Property Management Assistant, a Property Maintenance Operative Apprentice, a Governance Officer Apprentice, and an Apprentice Electrician. In Scarborough, the placements include Business Administrator apprentices within Customer Service & ICT and Asset & Sustainability, a Digital Support Technician Apprentice, and an Apprentice Housing & Property Management Assistant.

Over the past two years, we have welcomed 33 apprentices onto our apprenticeship programme, reinforcing a long-term commitment to developing the workforce and supporting career progression. Since 2019, 85% of apprentices have remained with us. In February 2025, 10 apprentices graduated; seven moved into full-time roles while the remainder progressed into a career-grade position or advanced to the next apprenticeship level. All of the 2025 graduates have stayed with Beyond Housing.

Maria Taylor, Apprentice & Volunteer Team Leader at Beyond Housing, said:

“It is great that we can offer such a variety of roles, some of which are new apprenticeship standards for us and at higher levels. I am excited to support all the new apprentices joining us and I’m looking forward to being part of their apprenticeship journey.”

Olivia recently completed her apprenticeship and added:

“I am really thankful to have had the opportunity to join and learn from such an amazing team and I’m grateful for everyone’s support. Since starting my apprenticeship with Beyond Housing I have developed a variety of skills which I have been able to utilise in different roles.”
