Abi’s success story – volunteering

Abi has volunteered with our Reach & Respond team in Whitby since January 2022 whilst also studying at college.

Abi has been working closely with the dedicated team shadowing Reach & Respond Responders in the community. This experience has included been on-call helping vulnerable customers who need emergency assistance, waiting with customers while ambulances arrive and seeing how adaptations can help customers maintain their independence.

As well as observing the invaluable service Reach & Respond team provide in the community Abi has also gained a wealth of experience and knowledge. So much so that she has accepted a role at Beyond Housing as a Bank Reach & Respond Responder.
