Congratulations Glen Durrant!

Glen Durrant ( celebrates becoming the 2019 BDO World Darts Champion, having won the title for three consecutive years. We’re thrilled to welcome back Glen Durrant to his day job as our Housing Manager for the Eston area, following his BDO World Championship win for the third year in succession.

48-year-old Glen has made darts history as the first darts player to win the BDO title three years in a row since the late Eric Bristow in 1986.

His dedication to his role at Beyond Housing saw him return to work less than 24 hours after his championship win. Glen leads the Eston housing team to deliver an excellent housing service across communities such as Grangetown, South Bank, Spencerbeck and Lazenby. The team handles all elements of housing management from tenancy sign ups to terminations and everything in between, including anti-social behaviour and re-letting homes as quickly and effectively as possible to help Beyond Housing create sustainable tenancies and safe neighbourhoods.

Colleagues always come together to support Glen and celebrate his achievements, with some even attending the BDO World Championship Final at Lakeside to cheer him on.

Rosemary Du Rose, Chief Executive of Beyond Housing said: “I’ve never worked with a world champion before… now I do! Congratulations Glen, I watched it all and you were brilliant. An amazing achievement.”

Lesley Conroy, Head of Communities (North) at Beyond Housing said: “Our very own Duzza has done it again and we couldn’t be more pleased for him. All at Beyond Housing are so proud to have you as part of the team!”

With Glen immediately focusing on his next challenge of an imminent trip to the PDC Q School, something tells us he may not be back for long!
