How you can help
The government, in partnership with the NHS launched the volunteer responders scheme to support the NHS and the care sector during the COVID-19 outbreak. Over 750,000 people have signed up to assist with tasks such as volunteering to deliver medicines from pharmacies, driving patients to appointments, bringing them home from hospital and making regular phone calls to check on people isolating at home.

The government are seeking businesses to support the response in ways, including medical testing equipment, medical equipment design, protective equipment for healthcare workers, hotel rooms, transport and logistics for moving goods and people, manufacturing equipment, warehouse or office space for medical use or storage, expertise or support on IT, manufacturing, construction, project management, procurement, engineering or communications, social care or childcare.
Noise during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic

Rise in fires
The fire brigade are disappointed to announce there has been a rise in fires being deliberately started across our region. They are asking parents to ensure they know where their children are and to keep them at home, if not exercising.
