Energy supplier details
As customers are welcome to change energy suppliers, an application is made to transfer the gas and electricity supplies back to British Gas once a customer leaves. Therefore, when you move into your new home, your energy supplier will be British Gas.
To register yourself with the supplier, please take your meter reading and contact British Gas on 0330 1000548 or live chat. They will be able to register you and set up your payment options.
If you find your energy supply is not with British Gas, they will tell you who to contact next. If you need help or support, please call Houses Energy Service Scheme (HESS) on 01733 568532 for further assistance.
