1. Set aside your rent money first

2. Set a present budget and stick to it
Why not agree to set smaller amounts with your family and friends so then no one feels bad when one person spends loads and the other spends less.
3. Suggest a ‘Secret Santa’
Usually, a Secret Santa means you spend a little more, but only on one person – so this can save you lots of money and you get to give and receive a ‘better’ gift!
4. Get creative
Handmade gifts are super thoughtful and can be lighter on the purse strings. Why not have a go at handcrafting some cards or making some delicious festive fudge for your friends this year.
