Success stories

Kerry’s success story

Kerry was initially referred to us by her income advisor in October 2022 after falling into arrears with her rent. The effects of the pandemic and continued lockdowns had caused a range of problems for Kerry and her daughter, which had slowly eased over time, meaning a potential return to employment was a realistic consideration for Kerry.

Joe-Collins success story

We first met Joe when he attended our job club at Westfield Farm and met with Laura, who offered him advice on how to make improvements to his CV and referred him to our Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) Programme. Joe then went on to meet Emma, one of our YEI Advisors at Eston Job Centre to look at Joe’s options, as he needed to secure work experience.

Mark’s success

When Mark joined the programme, he was looking to get straight back into work and was seeking support to look for employment, however, his health conditions were a barrier. We put a plan of action together and decided to look at the benefits he was in receipt of and to find out if he was entitled to further support.

April’s success

We began working with April on her confidence, and she began weekly art therapy sessions in addition to seeing the energy doctor to see if they could reduce her energy costs. We worked with her to update her CV and completed a benefit calculation.
