Get to know Zoe Ablett, our Garden and Reception Volunteer

“It’s a friendly place to be and I enjoy learning new traditional skills.”

Zoe is one of our amazing volunteers and you’ll most likely find her in reception or in the garden helping our produce grow!

Since starting at Westfield Farm, Zoe’s confidence in herself and work has massively improved and she has become a key team player.

Come along, join Zoe and our other wonderful volunteers!

Get to know Ste Donoghue, our Garden Volunteer

“I mostly enjoy getting out of the house and meeting new people, making new friends and learning new skills. This helps with my health and wellbeing.”

Ste was encouraged to join the Westfield Farm Volunteer team by a member of the Beyond Housing Employability team whilst doing some training in Eston.

Since joining Westfield Farm, Ste has said “It’s given me more confidence and my dignity back. I am able to say to people that although I might be out of work, I am volunteering and giving something back to the community”.

Get to know Ste Wright, our Reception Volunteer and Digital Champion

“It’s a friendly, welcoming place and we are always having a laugh!”

Ste is one of the first friendly faces you will see when visiting Westfield Farm. He will greet you at reception and is always up for friendly chit chat. Ste loves to keep things organised and will be there to offer his digital expertise.

Volunteering at Westfield Farm has helped Ste increase his office-based experience whilst unemployed, he has also acquired valuable skills in training and mentoring others when it comes to IT.

Ste also has a passion of photography and enjoys working with new people!
