The two‑child limit ended on Monday 6 April 2026, which means all children in your household can now be included in your Universal Credit award.

If you have three or more children, you may now qualify for Universal Credit for the first time. If you already receive Universal Credit, you may be entitled to an increase in your payments. Please note that this may not apply if your claim is affected by the benefit cap or includes transitional protection.
