We are supporting the National Housing Federation’s Start at Home Day

At Beyond Housing, we believe that everyone in our communities deserves a safe and secure place to live. We also recognise that some of our customers may need additional support in order to live happily and independently for as long as possible.
Our commitment to this principle has highlighted a growing need for more homes, and particularly the development of flexible supported housing. These homes are designed to enable residents to continue living independently while still benefiting from support through care packages, family assistance, or other informal arrangements.
To provide additional reassurance, our Reach & Respond service offers a reliable response network of caring colleagues, supported by modern telecare technology, to meet a wide range of individual needs.
For example, the centrepiece of an ambitious project in Redcar, completed in October 2024, is The Tides – a landmark building comprising 14 one-bedroom and 31 two-bedroom apartments. Surrounding this core are 12 one-bedroom houses, 12 two-bedroom flats, 4 two-bedroom bungalows, and 2 three-bedroom bungalows.
Every property has been carefully designed to promote independent living while allowing for tailored support when needed.
On Friday 29 August, Beyond Housing will join organisations across the country in supporting the National Housing Federation’s Starts at Home Day. This campaign highlights the importance of supported housing and calls on the Government, and all political parties, to commit to increased long-term funding for housing-related support.
More supported accommodation is urgently needed, and continued investment is essential to ensure that people can live independently with the support they require.
