Success stories
Each year, many projects successfully receive grants of up to £500 from the Beyond Housing Community Fund. We had two themes in 2024, ‘keeping communities warm and well‘ and ‘bringing people together‘.
Take a look at just some of the success stories from last year’s applications, all which highlight the dedication and hard work local organisations and community groups put in to ensure our communities succeed and thrive.

Saabat Gallery
Project: Sabaat Creativity Warm Space
Location: South Bank
“Saabat would like to thank Beyond Housing for enabling and supporting us to keep our creativity warm space up and running, supporting the local community and empowering us to empower others. We hope to work together again in the future.”
Carers Plus Yorkshire
Project: Warm Welcome at Kirkham Close
Location: Whitby
“It has been amazing to see so many people enjoying a Warm Welcome at Kirkham Close. To hear everyone laughing, chatting, and enjoying each other’s company is truly uplifting. We hope this is something we can continue to do, not just supporting unpaid carers but anyone who would benefit from socialising in their community. Thank you to Beyond Housing for giving us the opportunity”.
Closer Communities
Project: Dads Behaving Madly
Location: Scarborough
“It’s so good to have Beyond Housing playing an important part in improving our community and the lives of their customers.
“This funding has been valuable to our Dad’s Behaving Madly group and has enabled us to host activities, support, and a bit of respite for our dads to have a well-earned few hours off from their caring responsibilities.”
Kirkleatham Together
Project: Kirkleatham Walled Garden Kitchen Garden
Location: Kirkleatham
“The grant we received from Beyond Housing has really allowed us to progress our plans for a polytunnel in the walled garden. Our team of volunteers have already made use of the space potting on and dividing plants – it’s a really valuable space.”
Age UK North Yorkshire Coast and Moors
Project: Warm Room
Location: Scarborough
“We would like to thank Beyond Housing for their generous donation, which has allowed our warm room to remain open and available to support our clients. We’d also like to extend a friendly welcome to anyone who hasn’t used our warm room space before.”
