Coastcall is a 24 hour support service, based in the North Yorkshire area, that enables older, disabled or vulnerable people to remain living independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Coastcall is tailored with different service levels to meet the customer’s individual requirements and provides peace of mind with the knowledge that, with the use of our emergency call equipment, 24 hour response and support is available.
Your home will be linked to an emergency call centre via an intercom box either on a wall in your hallway or a separate unit linked to your telephone line. This easy to use system allows you to call for help in an emergency or if you have a problem so you can feel safe knowing help is only a call away.
At the push of a button a call can be made to our dedicated 24 hour Control Centre. When you contact us, we will find out what help you need. This may be a doctor, the emergency services, a relative, or one of our Coastcall responders. If you have fallen, or for some reason cannot communicate, the contact centre will automatically send out a responder, a designated family member or friend, to check you are okay. Sometimes problems can be resolved just be talking to us, but rest assured if you need help, help will be sent.
Once the call has been made, we contact the relevant person. If a Coastcall responder is called out, they will come to your home as quickly as possible. Our Coastcall responders are trained to provide basic first aid, help, guidance and support, and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for emergencies. Depending on where you live, they will arrive within a forty minute window from the point that contact is made.
