CEO ratio

The CEO ratio is calculated by comparing the CEO hourly rate to the whole company median hourly rate, using the same reference data as the pay gap data. In 2025, this gives a payment ratio of circa 6:1.

This means the CEO is paid 597% of the median colleague (a joiner in receipt of a tool allowance and multiskilling allowance).  This is a very slight increase on 2024 where it was 594% (still circa 6:1).

Research conducted by the High Pay Centre suggested that in 2023 the CEO ratio for the FTSE100 was 120:14⁴ and in the FTSE350 it was 52:15⁵.
