Governance structure
Beyond Housing operates as a Community Benefit Society and is registered with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH), ensuring we meet the standards expected of registered housing providers.
Governance
The Beyond Housing Group board is responsible for setting the organisation’s vision, purpose, values, and strategic direction, ensuring the long-term success of the Group. Meeting at least four times a year, alongside dedicated strategy events the Group board sets and drives the achievement of the organisation’s mission and values; it sets ambitious strategies and oversees the delivery of these; and it actively manages the risks faced by the organisation, obtains assurance over control effectiveness, and ensures that the organisation is financially viable.
Read our statement on executive board members.
The Group board is supported by the following committees:
- Audit and risk committee

It provides independent oversight of risk, assurance and internal controls, giving the Board confidence that we are managing risk effectively, protecting our assets and meeting our legal and regulatory responsibilities. The committee also oversees internal and external audit activity and monitors the effectiveness of our governance and compliance arrangements, helping us maintain high standards and make informed decisions.
- Governance and review committee
-
The governance and review committee helps ensure Beyond Housing has the leadership, culture and governance arrangements needed to deliver positive outcomes for customers and communities. The committee oversees board and committee effectiveness, succession planning, recruitment and development, ensuring we have the right skills, knowledge and experience around the table. It also provides oversight of organisational culture, colleague engagement and equality, diversity and inclusion, supporting our commitment to being a fair, inclusive and values-led organisation.
- Investment committee
-
