It was a glorious day for our second ‘Feet on the Street’ events of the year. On Thursday 9 July 2026 our colleagues took to the streets and were out and about in your neighbourhoods of; Scarborough Old Town, Skelton, Redcar, Saltburn, Church Lane North and Hinderwell.
The event was a great opportunity to connect with customers, local residents and partner organisations. Thank you to everyone who engaged with us, and a huge shout-out to the following partners for taking part and supporting the day:
- Local customers
- Cleveland Police
- North Yorkshire Police
- Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council
- Stop Loan Sharks UK
- Ward Councillors.
Finally, we’d like to thank customers who were unable to take part on the day but took time to complete a digital feedback form. Your comments were passed to the relevant housing officer for consideration at your local event.
Our teams will now work through all the feedback from each event and create an action plan to keep track of items that were raised.

- We were joined by two of our Customer Forum members (Karen and Steve) and we took the opportunity to introduce them to Councillor Janet Jefferson, the local PC’s and show them areas of the Old Town that you would only really see as a local resident, including communal spaces and gardens and one of our newly refurbished ‘decant’ properties
- We also had a quick visit to the Rainbow Centre, one of our main partners in the area, for a quick tour and overview of the work they do for the community.
