Business Development Manager - Redcar & Scarborough

Lead growth. Drive innovation. Make a difference.

Are you a commercially minded leader who thrives on turning opportunities into sustainable growth while making a real difference to people's lives?

At Beyond Housing, our Reach & Respond service supports thousands of customers through innovative telecare, technology and support solutions. We're looking for an ambitious and strategic Business Development Manager to help shape the future of the service, ensuring we continue to grow, innovate and deliver exceptional outcomes for customers and partners.

This is a pivotal leadership role that combines operational oversight with strategic business development. You'll lead our Technology, Business Support, and Quality & Performance functions, build strong external partnerships, identify and secure new business opportunities, and ensure our services remain commercially sustainable, compliant and customer focused. You'll play a key role in developing growth plans, leading tender submissions, reviewing commercial frameworks, and ensuring we continue to meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

The Person We're Looking For

We're seeking an inspirational and commercially astute leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You'll be someone who can see opportunities where others see challenges, building strong relationships with stakeholders and partners while successfully leading high-performing teams. You'll be confident analysing performance, making evidence-based decisions, and driving continuous improvement to deliver tangible results.

You'll bring a track record of improving services, motivating and developing people, and operating effectively in a complex environment. Equally comfortable discussing growth opportunities with external partners, supporting operational teams, or reviewing performance data, you'll be a collaborative leader who embraces accountability and is passionate about delivering excellent customer outcomes. Experience within housing, health, social care, telecare or a customer service environment would be advantageous, but above all we're looking for someone with drive, commercial awareness, resilience and a genuine commitment to helping services grow and thrive.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Excellent organisational, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience of driving service improvement and performance enhancement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • The confidence to lead change and influence at all levels
  • A collaborative approach aligned with our values of being Collaborative, Ambitious, Accountable and Considerate.

This is an opportunity to influence the future direction of an innovative, purpose-driven service that is helping people live safely and independently. You'll join a forward-thinking organisation where your ideas, leadership and commercial expertise can make a lasting impact on both business success and customer wellbeing.

Ready to take the next step and help shape the future of Reach & Respond? We'd love to hear from you.
