Meet Nick Edwards

Nick is an experienced board leader and CIPFA-qualified accountant with a strong background in governance, risk management and financial stewardship. He has held senior roles including Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive, where he led major regeneration projects and significant organisational transformation.

He has extensive experience of audit and governance committees, providing assurance and accountability to support effective decision-making. Most recently, he has helped establish the York and North Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, shaping its governance and supporting delivery of an ambitious regional regeneration programme.

Born and raised in Scarborough, Nick brings over forty years of local service and is committed to improving lives and strengthening communities across the Yorkshire Coast through the delivery of good quality affordable homes.
