Meet Wayne Cole

Wayne brings over 35 years of experience in compliance and risk across construction, property and housing.

His career began in the Royal Navy at 16, serving as a Marine Engineer on HMS Invincible. This early experience shaped his practical, problem-solving approach. He later trained as a scaffolder rigger, working on offshore oil rigs, where his interest in health and safety grew.

Since moving into the housing sector in 2006, Wayne has held senior roles with MITIE, Home Group, Portakabin and Places for People, where he was Group Director of Compliance.

Wayne is currently Chief Property & Investment Officer at Magenta Living – Wirral’s largest social housing provider. His responsibilities include health and safety, building safety, safeguarding, quality assurance, sustainability and compliance.
