We understand the importance of maintaining a clean and inviting environment in your communal areas. As part of our ongoing commitment to improving our services, the communal cleaning schedule is now available using our handy postcode look-up.

- Floors

- Carpeted areas – Vacuuming every visit, with deep steam cleaning twice a year
- Hard floors – Sweeping throughout the week, and mopping with hot water to leave surfaces dry
- External entrances – Sweeping to remove debris, ensuring the area is dry before leaving.
- General cleaning

- Painted surfaces – Wiping down skirting boards, handrails, window ledges, and accessible walls. We’ll also clean general surfaces like light switches, notice boards, and communal doors, removing any stubborn marks
- Doors and windows – Washing internal and external communal doors, internal windows, and frames (where safely accessible. This includes removing dust, dirt, cobwebs, and smudges.
- Light fittings and switches

- Light fittings are dusted where applicable, with a more thorough cleaning including diffusers (where accessible) done quarterly. Smoke alarm exteriors are vacuumed periodically. We’ll also ensure CCTV cameras are free from cobwebs.
- Ceilings, stairwells, and corridors

- We’ll remove dust, cobwebs, and unwanted debris throughout these areas on each visit. This includes removing leaflets and newspapers, dusting railings, and mopping non-carpeted floors at each visit. Carpeted areas are vacuumed as well.
- Washrooms and other facilities (if applicable)

- Sanitary fittings and work surfaces in toilets, washrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms (where applicable) are cleaned at each visit. This includes removing waste, washing and disinfecting sanitary ware, and washing down walls, lights, and ceilings We’ll also replenish supplies like toilet paper and soap
- Internal bins are disinfected inside and out where applicable. Hand towel dispensers and dryers are cleaned and refilled as needed where applicable.
- Bin areas

- We will wash down walls, floors, and doors, and clean windows in these areas.
- Window cleaning

- All accessible windows in communal areas are cleaned internally quarterly, removing dirt and cobwebs for a clear, smear-free finish. Door and window frames are washed down at each visit.
- Lift cleaning

- Lifts are cleaned at each visit, with unwanted debris removed, floors mopped or vacuumed, and internal walls washed and polished.
