The Dunes, Redcar

The Dunes in Redcar offers 64 one and two bedroom extra care apartments to rent. The site has extensive communal facilities with on-site care and support available 24/7, 365 days a year.

A hairdressing salon and a bistro are also available, providing residents with a range of additional facilities on their doorstep. But this isn’t all. The facilities are also open to the wider community, who are invited to make use of the amenities on offer. Not only does this benefit the whole community, but helps counter some of the issues experienced by residents, such as social isolation.

Living at the Dunes

Living at The Dunes means you get to live in your own home, with your own front door and the freedom to live independently but with the reassured comfort that you are in a safe and secure environment. Some other great benefits include:

The Scheme Coordinator, who is based in the Dunes will support and work closely with the care staff based on-site to ensure your tenancy is sustained and fully supported, leaving you to enjoy a greater quality of life.

To live at The Dunes you must fulfil the following three criteria:

1) Be aged 55 or over
2) Living in the Redcar and Cleveland area
3) And in receipt of an established package of care.

The local authority will undertake a care and support assessment with you to determine your eligibility. All applications are treated fairly, confidentially and all circumstances will be taken into consideration.
