‘Seas the day’ to close the employment gap
On Friday 28 June, Beyond Housing’s Employability team is inviting Redcar and Cleveland partners and stakeholders to ‘Seas the Day’ at a fun, beach-themed event at Westfield Farm, Redcar, showcasing and celebrating the success they have achieved in their various employment programmes over the last year.
The open day represents Beyond Housing’s participation in the fourth Employment Related Services Associations (ERSA) Employability Day, when organisations across the UK join the largest celebration for those supporting local people into work.
Attendees can find out about all the employability and funding services offered by Beyond Housing. The team will be on hand to showcase their ‘60 minute makeover’, one of the services on offer to applicants to help them look and feel fantastic for interviews.
Beyond Housing’s wide ranging employability offer is in place to deliver practical options, advice and support; helping to remove the barriers which often exclude people of all ages from life-improving opportunities.
Beyond Housing’s Employability team supports customers and residents who are not in education, employment or training with specialist information, advice, guidance, training, mentoring, apprenticeships, job placements and further education to help them meet the needs of local employers. It has a proven track record of matching jobseekers to the needs of a business.
Emma Grimes, Employability Manager at Beyond Housing, said: “At Beyond Housing we are determined to make sure nobody in our communities gets left behind. Our wide range of employment services have something to offer all jobseekers, whatever their age, background or training.
“Fingers crossed it’ll be sunny and people can get loads of great support, advice and enjoy an ice cream on us!”
‘Seas the Day’ is on Friday 28 June from 12pm to 3pm.
