Get to know Alison, our garden volunteer
Alison attended a local job fair in Redcar where she met with a member of our employability team, who encouraged her to join Westfield Farm as a volunteer.

Get to know Ashleigh, our reception volunteer
Most of the time, our volunteer Ashleigh can be found at reception in Westfield Farm.
Since starting with us, Ashleigh’s confidence in herself and her work has hugely improved – she’s become a key team player here at the farm!

Get to know Jayne, our events volunteer
Jayne joined the Westfield Farm volunteer team after spotting a event support recruitment post on our Facebook page.
“Volunteering has given me a sense of purpose that I felt I had lost after retirement. There are lots of benefits, such as giving back to the community, feeling useful, meeting new people, reducing social isolation and giving structure to my week.
I’ rm really enjoying it – they’re a really friendly group and I have made new friends.”
