Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements scheme (STAIRs)
What is STAIRs
STAIRs stands for the Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements scheme. It is a new standard being introduced by the UK Government and the Regulator of Social Housing.
The scheme gives social housing tenants greater access to information about how their landlord manages homes and delivers services, in a similar way to the Freedom of Information process.
How will STAIRs affect you?
Publication Scheme (from October 2026)
From Thursday 1 October 2026, social housing landlords will be required to make key information available in a way that is clear, accessible, and easy for tenants to find.
Much of the information required under STAIRs is already available on our website. To help you find it more easily, we have organised this information into the categories set out by the STAIRs framework – click on a category to view the information.
