Work on Low Farm Drive in Redcar is now complete

Work has now been completed on all 54 homes at our Low Farm Drive development in Redcar. Contractors, Esh Group, began building work on the £7.5 million development in March 2019 with the aim of providing new and much-needed housing in Redcar and Cleveland.

The scheme provides accommodation for elderly and vulnerable people, with four three-bedroom, wheelchair-friendly bungalows and six two-bedroom bungalows designated for older people, in addition to 38 two, three and four-bedroom houses for those with general needs.

With a £2 million grant from Homes England, the new properties are located across four sites, three of which are adjacent to Beyond Housing’s existing extra care scheme, The Dunes, on Low Farm Drive and Byland Close. The fourth site is on nearby Wykeham Close.

The development brings with it a contribution to the wider sustainability of the Redcar community, with an £8,400 donation made to Natural England for coastal preservation as an agreement under section 106 of the 1990 Town and Country Planning Act.
