Redcar Foodbank Supported by Successful Collection Drive

Residents in Redcar have received additional support thanks to a collection drive organised by Beyond Housing and its partners. Over the course of a month, food and essential items were gathered and donated to Footprints in the Community, a foodbank that serves local families and individuals.

Footprints in the Community provides food parcels and social activities aimed at reducing isolation and supporting vulnerable people in Redcar.

The collection drive was sparked by an initial donation from Beyond Housing’s contractor Novus and was further bolstered by contributions from partners, including 0800 Repair, F&I Group, and Lov2shop, which provided a gift card to purchase additional items.

Rachael Crooks, Community Partnership & Engagement Manager at Beyond Housing, said: “This collection drive has shown how teamwork can make a real difference. We’re very thankful to our contractors and colleagues for their efforts in supporting these vital local charities.”

The donations have now been distributed to Footprints in the Community, helping local residents access vital supplies during the winter months.
