A day in the life of a Property Maintenance Apprentice

Mcauley Lacey – Apprentice Property Maintenance Operative 

I’m currently working towards my Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship qualification, and I am based in the Scarborough area. My typical working day starts between 8.30am and 9am and ends at 4.30pm. 

Every day is different and exciting. One day, I could be on a roof replacing tiles, and another day, I could be fitting grab rails or fence posts. The variety of jobs means you are constantly learning and experiencing new challenges alongside amazing colleagues. 

I highly recommend anyone to apply for a Beyond Housing apprenticeship, I have already learned so much in the short time I’ve been here. It’s a fantastic place to work, and the people here are incredibly helpful and supportive.
