Dean’s employment success

Dean joined Westfield Farm as a volunteer, bringing with him a desire to improve his customer service skills – and in just a short time, he has already become an invaluable part of the team.

As a Meet and Greet Volunteer, Dean is the first friendly face many visitors see when they arrive at the farm. His responsibilities include answering the door, signing in guests, and ensuring that refreshments like tea and coffee are always available for both visitors and volunteers, especially when the training room is in use. Dean also takes pride in helping keep the kitchen area clean and tidy, creating a welcoming and organised space for everyone at the farm.

Though he has only been volunteering for a few weeks, Dean’s impact has been significant. He brings reliability, warmth, and care to everything he does. Dean shows up to volunteer every single day, always ready to lend a hand. His proactive attitude and dedication are evident not only in his day-to-day tasks but also in how he supports others at the farm. Whether it’s making someone feel at home or keeping the space running smoothly, Dean is always there with a helping hand and a smile.

Dean has always aspired to be on the board of Beyond Housing and has been working towards this goal for some time. He expressed to the staff at the Farm that he is grateful for the opportunity to volunteer there, as it has positively impacted his life.

Since joining Westfield Farm, Dean’s confidence has grown immensely. He has developed strong interpersonal skills and shown a natural talent for customer service. His positive attitude and approachable manner make him a favourite among staff, volunteers, and visitors alike. His commitment and enthusiasm have not gone unnoticed, and his presence continues to make a real difference every day. With his smart appearance being noticed, he makes a mark on the Farm.
