Fuel Poverty Awareness Day
Friday 2 December 2022
We’re supporting Fuel Poverty Awareness Day 2022.
As the colder months draw in, we should all be able to stay warm at home. With the rising energy costs, low incomes and energy-inefficient homes are limiting peoples options, leaving them in difficult situations like having to choose to heat their home or pay their rent.
National Energy Action, is a fuel poverty awareness charity that raises awareness of fuel poverty to improve the lives of those who are living in it in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
This years theme is winter and beyond. The aim is to directly support people with energy and income maximisation advice and we advocate on issues including improving the energy efficiency of our homes.
You can find further information and advice on fuel poverty on their website. They also have a fuel poverty map, showing fuel poverty levels in your area which you can access here.
