Broadacres has transferred the operation of the Hambleton Lifeline to Beyond Housing, ensuring customers retain a strong independent living service and protecting local jobs.

Hambleton Lifeline is an independent supported living service which provides security, peace of mind and emergency support to 1500 vulnerable and elderly residents across the Hambleton area. Having taken the decision to stop providing the service, Broadacres chose Beyond Housing as its prospective partner.

Beyond Housing is an experienced provider of supported living services, operating HomeCall across the North East and CoastCall across the Scarborough and Whitby area. Five Hambleton Lifeline employees transferred across to Beyond Housing on Monday 5 August.

Rosemary Du Rose, chief executive of Beyond Housing, said: “We are delighted to be able to expand our service in North Yorkshire and welcome new customers and colleagues from Broadacres.

“At Beyond Housing, we are determined to deliver the best standards and committed to ensuring our customers are able to enjoy living a full, independent life for as long as possible.”

Gail Teasdale, chief executive of Broadacres, added: “The decision to transfer the service was a very difficult one for Broadacres to make. It is though the best course for the future.  Beyond Housing will deliver an excellent experience for customers and are in a strong position to invest, develop and grow the service”.
