Background
Mark reached out to the Employment Support and Training team for help in getting back into employment following a period of prolonged sickness.
Story
Mark knew he wanted to get straight back into work however his health conditions had become a barrier to this so we encouraged him to come along to our support and training centre at Westfield Farm
He also wanted to improve his mental and physical health and become more active whilst working towards employment. To help with this, our advisor scheduled weekly get-togethers with Mark where they would go for walks and chat about his future, attempting to walk a bit further each time.
Outcome
Mark is now exercising more, taking regular walks to keep on top of his health and he’s been regularly attending Westfield Farm to keep his options open for the right opportunity.
