Green Gates Primary School’s Christmas hamper scheme brings festive cheer

Families across Redcar are set to benefit from the annual Christmas Hamper scheme led by the children and teachers at Green Gates Primary School. The initiative, which provides hampers filled with food, clothing, and toys, offers crucial support to families in need during the festive season.

The school works in partnership with the Teesside-based CAUSE Foundation, whose donations help ensure the hampers are well-stocked. With many households facing financial pressures this year, the scheme continues to play an essential role in spreading festive cheer and providing relief to the community.

Recognising the school’s dedication, Beyond Housing has once again contributed £500 to support the initiative. The donation will help Green Gates Primary School meet growing demand and ensure even more families in the Redcar area receive the support they need this Christmas.

Rosemary Du Rose, Chief Executive of Beyond Housing, said: “We are very happy to repeat our £500 donation to this wonderful hamper scheme. It’s incredibly heartwarming to see the children and teachers at Green Gates School working so hard to bring festive cheer to local families. We hope our donation helps them continue to provide much-needed support in these difficult times.”

Katie Lowe, Head Teacher at Green Gates Primary School, added: “We are very grateful for the continued support from Beyond Housing at this special time of the year. Our families appreciate this very much.”

This partnership between Green Gates Primary School, the CAUSE Foundation, and Beyond Housing demonstrates the power of community collaboration, working together to support those most in need at Christmas time.
